Migration OS — How OJIRA Soft Builds the Ecosystem
Public guide to how we build the OJIRA ecosystem. Trusted community and content, the operating system behind SetLinn, and our team and hiring practices.
Migration OS is our public guide. It shows how we publish trusted community and content, how the operating system behind SetLinn works from guidance to releases, and how our team and hiring operate. We began as a community help desk, grew through Japa.Travel, and now run a connected network with SetLinn, Immigrant Hub Germany and our Partners.
What you will find
Trusted Community & Content
Voice and accuracy standards, publishing patterns for IHG and Japa.Travel, provider vetting, moderation, data care, and the feedback loop into SetLinn. We keep adding as we grow.
Operating System
Architecture of the migration stack, guidance engine and intent graph, product surfaces, provider economy, release safeguards, design checkpoints, metrics, and roadmap themes.
Team & Hiring
Lean org with directly responsible individuals, how we work in two-week cycles, what we look for, the hiring process, and how to reach us.
Who this helps
Migrants and families planning a move. Partners who deliver services and programs. Everyone who wants to see how we work before they join.

Trusted Community and Content
Our ecosystem started with community and content. This page explains the standards that keep our information useful, safe, and worthy of trust and how we protect people.
Purpose and origin
Everything we build started with community and content. We turned lived migration questions into guides people can act on. Today, SetLinn, Immigrant Hub Germany, and Japa.Travel work together, so a real question becomes a clear step.
What “trusted” means here
- Accurate: facts checked against primary sources.
- Actionable: each page answers one intent with next steps.
- Current: every page shows an owner and a last reviewed date.
- Responsible: legal and tax work is performed by licensed professionals we work with.
Voice and scope
Helpful, neutral, and practical. Plain language first. We explain the “why,” then show the “how.” We avoid speculation and label advice clearly. Outcomes are never promised.
Content types and where to find them
- Guides: step-by-step for a single intent, for example, study admission or address registration.
- Checklists: short, printable steps with requirements and timing.
- Explainers: concepts and rules that shape decisions, for example Blue Card basics.
- Stories: lived experiences that show how decisions play out.
- Q&A: fast answers to common SetLinn questions.
- Live sessions: weekly video or audio on topics the community asks for.
Sources and citations
We prefer primary sources. When rules change, we link the change notice. We summarize in plain language and add the official wording for reference when helpful. If we make a mistake, we correct it on the page and add a note to the bottom.
Community standards
- Be helpful, truthful, and respectful.
- No spam or unverified claims.
- Report problems inside the product.
- Keep personal data out of public posts.
- Together, we stand stronger, so join us.
Moderation and safety
Reports are processed quickly. Decisions are evidence-based. Repeat violations are escalated. We document actions and provide a path to appeal. Safety warnings appear on pages where misuse could cause harm.
Provider vetting and listings
Identity checks and track record review are required. We may request a sample deliverable. Status states are active, probation, or suspended. Status is re-checked on a fixed cycle. Discovery happens inside guidance so timing and fit are right.
Data care
Minimal data by default. First-party measurement only. Export or delete on request within a reasonable timeline. We publish a simple explanation of what we collect and why.
Accessibility and inclusion
Mobile first. Readable on small screens and low bandwidth. Alt text on images. Captions on video. We expand language coverage in planned waves aligned with our routes and personas.

Operating System
The habits that keep us fast, safe, and predictable; the OS that power our migration ecosystem
Thesis and origin
Migration is scattered across people, paperwork, and places. Our Operating System coordinates knowledge, community, and services so moves become structured paths. We began as a community help desk, matured through Japa.Travel, and now run SetLinn as the network that connects guidance, providers, and peers. Immigrant Hub Germanyamplifies what works and flags what does not.
The migration stack
Eight layers work together. Each layer improves the next one.
- Community and content signals
Questions and stories from SetLinn groups, IHG media, and Japa.Travel guides feed the system. - Identity and persona
A short onboarding classifies intent. Study. Skilled worker. Family. Founder. The basics needed to personalize the journey. - Migration intent graph
The data foundation that links people, goals, routes, countries, services, and communities. It is our source of truth for relevance. - Guidance engine
Domain logic plus embedded AI guidance turns profile and context into next best actions and eligible routes. - Application surfaces
Personalized feed, group discovery, checklists, progress nudges, provider matching, and a simple “Ask” entry point. - Provider network and services
Verified providers and programs operate inside the trust filter. Discovery happens where guidance lives. - Trust, safety, and compliance
Vetting, moderation, data-minimal defaults, clear appeals. Details live in Trusted Community and Content. - Observability and learning
Telemetry, plan completion, and match to call rates inform what we change next.
Data and guidance
We use a clear taxonomy and simple Q and A to build a useful profile. Personas and context drive ranking for posts, groups, guides, and services. The intent graph routes people to the right step at the right time. Every join, click, and ignore teaches the system. Recommendations improve with use.
Where you feel the OS
You see the OS in small ways that matter. An actually relevant feed. Groups that match your stage. A checklist that reflects where you are. A provider suggestion that includes trust cues and timing. A nudge when a window opens.
Inclusion and scale
We focus first on Africa to Europe, with Germany primary. We expand coverage by persona, route, and language in planned periods. Mobile first patterns make the experience work on small screens and low bandwidth.
Partners, programs, and APIs
Programs run with partners feed signals back into the intent graph. As supply matures, we will open read scoped endpoints for routes and groups and add booking hooks where it makes sense.
Roadmap themes
What we are building next.
- Broader persona coverage and more country routes
- A logic workspace, so non engineers can update guidance safely
- Automated provider verification and quality scoring
- Program dashboards with anonymized impact views
- Interfaces for NGOs and ministries to cooperate on standards
Team and Hiring
Lean, domain-owned, and easy to work with.
